Ready for some great, fall Eastern Serria fly fishing?
This year's Carson River Fishout is going to be held Friday, Sept 17, Saturday Sept 18, and returning Sunday, the 19th.
Last year we had 27 people attend and it was a great time. This year will be even better because the river is fuller and they (the fish and game and resort) will stock the trout for us. Also, the entire Carson River Resort is available to us and the entire Markeleeville Motel, Toll Station. Should the signups indicate we need additional space, we can rent a 4 bedroom home.
On Friday, 9/17 we will have a Pot Luck Dinner. Requests for items to be contributed will be posted later. On the last fishout Lee Dorius had a Pot Luck Dinner the first night and it was spectacular. If you were there you know it was.
Saturday and Sunday morning, Chef Jim Degnan will again offer a fabulous Western Breakfast and a brown bag survival kit for lunch. Chef “Robair” Davis will delight all with his famous campout dinner on Saturday night.
Last year the charge was $120 per person and I admit I lost a little bit. So this year the price is $130 per person.
Also the first 30 members that sign up will be able to go. However, it depends on an early sign up. Please believe me at 25 people this Fishmaster job is a breeze, 30 is critical, but doable if sign ups are early. Cut off date will be August 15, 2010.
