When I took the Fall Fly Tying Classes last year I didn't realize they were also called the Advanced Fly Tying Classes.  My own tying skills are no where near "advanced" and I thought I might be in over my head.  Not so!  The classes do teach some fairly intricate patterns - and are probably not for the first time tyer, but the instruction is geared for those taking the class, and thankfully I was able to tie all the patterns with good success.

The Fall Fly Tying Classes will be held over 4 Wednesdays, October 20 and 27 and November 3 and 17.  Classes begin at 7:00 PM at the Conference Room M-250 at Winchester Plaza, 1101 South Winchester Blvd., San Jose (if the classes change to room A 109 we will let you know)  In order to make it even more enticing the cost for all four classes is only $10 for members.

The patterns taught focus on some of the larger species of fish - salmon, steelhead, stripers, very large trout, and perhaps a saltwater pattern, too.
