Tristan Leong

Tristan Leong is a hydroelectric coordinator for the Lassen and Shasta-Trinity National Forests. He has nine years of experience in hydroelectric relicensing. Prior to joining the Forest Service in 2011, Tristan worked as an environmental scientist for the State Water Resource Control Board and as a fisheries biologist for NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service. His current work spans many disciplines, but focuses primarily on watershed and natural resource management downstream of hydropower dams. Tristan’s presentation will discuss how the relicensing of the Pit 345 Hydroelectric Project on the Pit River changed the flow regime below the dams for the ecological benefit of the river, and how this in turn affects fishing.
