Our June meeting is coming up June 8 - at the Moreland Apts meeting room -
Our program will be presented by longtime Flycaster Benson Kanemoto.
Benson Kanemoto joined SJ Flycasters around 1975 and left after moving to Redding, California in 2008.
While a member he held nearly every single position from meeting room cleanup, to newsletter editor, coffee maker, fishmaster, casting instructor, director on the board, treasurer, and flytying instructor under Dick Nelson for 15 years.
In 2003 Benson was the reciepient of the Dick Nelson Fly Tying Award from the FFF. Marty Seldon was chiefly responsible for his nomination.
Benson Kanemoto is an Honorary Life Member of Flycasters as well.
When he moved to Redding, Benson joined the Shasta Trinity Flyfishers and has been active in their club.
Benson often says he has had the good fortune to fish all over the world and spent one doing so. And he gives credit to both because he has a wonderful wife!
Lewiston Lake is the title of the program.
