Club Meeting Thursday October 15* Chris Laskodi
Chris was born and raised in northern California and has been visiting Trinity County since he was a teenager. Chris serves as the fish ecologist for the TRRP as well as representing the Yurok Tribe on water policy issues. Chris has worked on the Trinity River since 2015, previously serving as a fish biologist for the Yurok Tribe and a fisheries technician for the US Fish & Wildlife Service. Chris holds a B.S. in Wildlife, Fish and Conservation Biology from the University of California, Davis and a M.S. in Aquaculture/Fisheries from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. In his free time, Chris enjoys taking friends and family fishing on one of the many watercraft available to him.
The title of Chris' presentation is "The Trinity River Restoration Program: Past, Present, and Future". The presentation will focus on what the TRRP has been up to the last several years, what we are doing now, and where we are heading in the future. I will include information on how management will influence steelhead fishing in the future.
