Club Meeting Wednesday September 16 Michael Malekos
Michael Malekos is a seasoned fly fisherman and philanthropist whose five decades on California’s waters have shaped a lifelong passion for trout and wild places A contributing columnist for California Fly Fisher magazine and founder of the Casting A Rise Foundation, Mike is known for blending practical angling insight with storytelling, stewardship, and a commitment to giving back through the sport he loves. His first book, Shared Waters, explores California’s storied trout fisheries through personal reflections, proven fly-fishing strategies, and lessons gathered over a lifetime on the water. Through his writing and presentations, Mike reminds anglers that the true value of fly fishing is found not only in the fish, but in the friendships, generosity, and shared experiences the sport inspires. Michael's program for September will profile several of the destinations for the club's upcoming fishouts and discuss proven tactics, strategies and techniques for success.
